Vernacular architecture


As we drive through the little villages (which feel very Czech), we marvel at how unkempt they all are. The pavements are just dusty gravel, the paint peeling and fading in a nostalgic kind of way, and the amazing timber buildings are gently falling to pieces, never to be repaired, but expressing their fantastic skeletons.
