Rolling Countryside

We have a bit of a lie in, repack the van now we know what we are doing, and by mid day, we are ready to make a move further south. Given yesterdays marathon drive, today we are planning a far more leisurely affair, and we set off down the N44. The country side opens up and as we drive down the never endingly straight Roman Roads, the rolling countryside opens up with a massive patchwork quilt of sunflowers, sweetcorn, corn stubble and recently ploughed fields. The little villages with their quirky spires (some almost Russian style) intersperse the mass of agriculture. That and the massive 10 storey grain silos!
